On Friday night, May 15, 2020, vandals attacked a store in Sango Ota, Ogun State, breaking in and looting goods worth over N1.6 million. Among the affected businesses was a game store, which was forced open and ransacked.
During the attack, the store owner’s junior brother, who was present in the shop, was beaten and injured by the hoodlums.
The store owner has called for increased security, stating that the miscreants have threatened to return for more attacks. He recalled a previous encounter with the gang while returning from the mosque, during which he witnessed their illegal activities and narrowly escaped.
The incident was reported to the police earlier that day, but the owner remains concerned about further attacks.
